Youkong Upgrades Its Smart Water Digital Twin Platform: Bringing Scattered Engineering Data onto One Visualised, Computable, Early-Warning Map

(YOKORN), a Chinese National High-Tech Enterprise, has announced a new round of upgrades to its independently developed Smart Water Digital Twin Platform, now in engineering service at 【XX Water Treatment Plant / XX Water Conservancy Project】. Built on the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence and AI simulation, the platform consolidates data that was previously scattered across separate engineering systems into a single map that is visualised, computable and capable of early warning.
The platform is not a single piece of software. It is supported by three tools developed in-house: 3D modelling software that digitally reproduces the plant and its engineering objects, GIS mapping software that presents spatial relationships across the catchment, and AI modelling software that learns and predicts operational behaviour. Working together on one platform, they close the loop from "see it" to "compute it" to "warn before it happens".
Functionally, the platform covers seven modules: 3D visual digital twin (plant-wide modelling), real-time SCADA monitoring, intelligent process analysis and control, equipment operation and maintenance management, safety and security visualisation, energy consumption analysis, and dispatch management. Operators can inspect the live status and historical trends of any asset inside the 3D scene, and when a process deviates, receive cause analysis and suggested actions immediately — instead of switching back and forth between dozens of disconnected screens.
"In the past, a plant's data lived in the automation system, the lab system, the maintenance system and sometimes in paper logbooks. When something went wrong, you could see it but you couldn't explain it," said a technical lead at Youkong. "We are building digital twins not to make the picture prettier, but to make engineering data genuinely computable, traceable and capable of early warning."
As a National High-Tech Enterprise, Youkong develops its business around the principle of "control as the foundation, digital twin as the direction". Its core products include PLC control cabinets, gate LCU control cabinets, pumping station LCU control cabinets and SCADA central control systems. The company says it will continue to combine the reliability of field control with the intelligence of the platform layer, delivering one-stop service from site survey to final acceptance for water conservancy and municipal water clients.
